Today he did a talk in the college lecture theatre.
I was aware of him before today. Mostly for his photos of New Brighton in the 80's and their bright colours and depressing subjects.
Here are a few things I picked up from the talk;
He's a collector. Particularly Saddam Hussein watches and Postcards; (He did the 'boring postcards' book that has one from doncaster in from the 70's, and it hasn't changed)
He's interested in the subject - Not the quality of print or colour - He wants it to look real.
Tip: Photo things that are the norm now, They change! (i.e. sunsets don't change! and they make very 'Predictable' shots)
Celebrate your prejudices, don't suppress them. (he hates crafts, so he want and photographed a craft fayre.)
