I've been looking at existing books, you know. Books that I want mine to be like, and books that I want mine not to be like.
I do like this hardback babe from Wolfgang Tillmans. I like the block colour and the serif font.

Patti Smith, how you bore me...

But then again, I am liking ultra boring book covers. Less is best I say!

This is more admiring the concept of the photography project than anything to do with the book;

By Matthew Sleeth from the book Ten Series / 106 photographs, this project was called 'Kawaii Baby' (cute baby!) and he's documented the reaction of the Japanese to his babies western chubby cheeks. In each shot you can see the back of the babies head at the bottom of the frame.
Lastly, you knoooww I love Juergen Teller;

Well in the above book I figured out something interesting (probably only interesting to me). My first encounter with Teller was through an A4 magazine style soft back book which came with an Issue of Purple Journal. It was titled 'Ed in Japan' and had around 60 photos taken, in black and white, from his time in Japan. It wasn't until I looked in 'Do you know what I mean' that I saw the same photos in colour. I assumed the photos were shot on Black and White film, but Uh oh. no way jose! not even true!

My over Teller fave, is mainly my fave for its cover. The big san serif font, the soft cover with its grainy texture;
Its got me thinking about a name for book. I can't just call it 'Kate'z really ace photo book' - I need to be all aloof n'shit.
