Collections: "My First Collection" - Letterpress

Last week I took part in the letterpress workshop. We were to have a few lines of text ready to experiment with, which I was quite un-prepared for, so I took and idea I had briefly written down in a recent 'collections' briefing lecture, about maybe making a children's book with very simple examples of collections;

and taking inspiration from the work of Mary Blair;

I drew my own little stuffed cheek hamster.

Although I like the idea of making a whole book based around this idea, I can't think of many more ideas for illustrations. D'oh.

Letterpress is really relaxing, but I can't help thinking 'I can do this on a freakin' 'puter!'. Though the quality is not to be messed with!
